Hi Prathi,
This pdf file on yoga is so comprehensive......and looks good with all the pictures also. Thanks for posting it...it can be a quick reference also. I did buy a dvd on yoga when i was in india, and it has simple stretching and simple poses...which i try to follow. But getting to do the Surya namaskar will be the ultimate challenge.
Thanks for posting this...
regards,

| | Which are the poses suitable for Pregnant ladies?
Hi Prathi,
That's a neat and good attachment on yoga. Very handy for those who want to start practising.
Many pregnant women are advised to practise some simple yoga as part of their routine exercises. Would you know which are the poses suitable for pregnant ladies to practise?
Please do share if you or any other ladies would know about it.
Keerthi.

| | Light on Yoga
To all who are interested in Yoga, please buy the book "Light on Yoga" and "Light on Pranayama" by Shri BKS Iyengar. I have read numerous books on yoga, but Dr Iyengar's book is the most comprehensive one with photographs and, step by step instructions, the ailments it cures, who should and who shouldn't be doing certain poses and much much more detail. He is someone who lives by example. He is close to 90 years and still going strong, making trips to the US to give lectures. He was the one to introduce Yoga bigtime in the West.
You can get the book in Higginbothams or Gangarams in Bangalore.
Regards
Vidya

| | yoga and you
hai,
I am bipasu.I am doing yoga everyday and it is advisable to study yoga from a teacher and then start doing it because only under the proper guidance of a teacher, the practice will be comfortable.some of the poses require the help of a guide.from my experience i am telling this.
with regards,
bipasu
