Aiming at 10 kg wt loss in 3 months

    Hi Friends,

    I am joining in too. I am hypothyroid. Weighing 168 lbs.

    I have started from yesterday.

    Morning
    1 small cup coffee ( Am a coffee addict 2 cups of coffee per day)actually reduced now
    breakfast - 1 plum, 1 granola oat bar, 1 cup orange juice(tropicana)

    Afternoon
    Lunch- rice +corriander chutney+more kozhambu+ladys finger curry+rasam. (Think I should work on reducing rice)

    Evening
    1 small cup coffee

    Night
    Dinner- 1 scoop of rice upma(hardly 4,5 spoonful) + 2 small wheat dosa.

    Did all the house chores, had laundry and ironing clothes, and guests came in, so skipped walking.

    Pls guide me friends whether am over eating or this is fine.

    Am also planning for GM diet.

    I have a doubt, can we follow this type of diet on the mensutral days?

    diet:
    1 cup coffee........1 bowl papaya...........
    1 cup tea........

    i ate lot of rice today.

    1 cup tea with 2 sweets.................(i have to stop eating these...........friends brought from india.......)

    ANY ONE WANTS TO JOIN WITH US FOR GM DIET??????????????????

    Hi frds,

    Today's update :

    5.50 am : wake up
    6.15 am. 1 glass methi seed soaked water
    7.15 am. 5 soaked almond
    8.30 am. 1 bowl oats
    1 pm. 2 Chappathi with rajma gravy
    3 pm. 1 piece soan papadi
    6.15 pm. 1/4 fresh fries( I couldn't avoid because my husband bought it for me all the way from work)
    8 pm. 1 veg soup
    9 pm. 1 apple

    Water : 2 1/2 ltr

    No exercise.....

    Morning: cup tea
    bf- 1plum, 1/4 piece apple, 1cup orange juice
    around 11.30- digestive biscuit 1
    lunch : 12.30 -rice+ridge gourd coconut gravy+potato fry+coriander chutney
    evening : coffee- 1cup +5 salt biscuits
    dinner : methi paratha-3 + mushroom curry (I think i should have stopped with 2 paranthas :bonk)

    Exercise : 40 mins of extensive jogging and walking, planning to increase slowly.

    Hi Rani,

    I am likely to start my periods around 24th(due to my thyroid condition even this is not on time :( ).

    So, am planning to start GM from 1st of sept. Is it ok for you?

    Before that am doing a mini research on GM diet and going to frame a complete schedule to which am going to stick to.

    Do send me any details you get about GM diet.

    I can see so many more friends have similar goals. Let's strive for it!
    Aug 21 update:
    The day started off well as always.........but gave in to a big piece of halwa which the guests bought. :-(
    BF- 2 tea plus 2 dosa +1 tbsp chutney
    mid morning- 1 boiled banana
    Lunch- 2 chappathis + dal curry + 4 tbsp chickpeas
    Tea- 1 cup + 2 salt bisc
    Pre-dinner- 1 boiled banana(nenthrapazham) & a generous piece of halwa. :-O
    Dinner- 4 tsp oats cooked in 200 ml milk with honey and chopped banana(robesta)

    no exercise even though I had wanted to do cardio(treadmill) but had to finish sewing DD's kimono for fancy dress competition which is tomorrow.

    Hi KKmom,
    You can get all the details about the GM diet from the net. Vegetarians can eat paneer instead of beef. I ate channa dal though.
    I have done GM diet in 2010 and lost 3-4 kgs but felt so miserable and irritated and hungry during it. So, I'm not giving it another try. And many ppl say the wt always comes back. So yeah..
