Yoga and its benefits

    The reason for starting this thread is to find out how many ladies are there in IL who already gained benefits out of yoga and who is now ready to start practicising for some specific reasons. Just share me your experiences / reason for practising yoga. I have few reasons for which i am going to join yoga classes from next week onwards.
    1. To be so brisk enough alteast till the evening (say around 7 oclk)
    2. To overcome tension/anger/stress etc
    3. To be energetic (both mentally and physically)
    4. To reduce my body weight
    5. To eradicate my back pain (which i am suffering for past 3 years)
    6. To lead an healthy life

    If any IL members have same thoughts and have already joined yoga can share ur experiences, the new ppl like me can share their feelings/difference after practising yoga on a once in three days / weekly basis.

    I personally feel exercise in any form(yoga, aerobics, gym, swimming etc) are all good in their own when done "regularly". The benefits always exist. Its our determination to be regular that matters the most. What I personally feel is "if am not going to exercise today, then why should I eat today". Though sounds in a lighter vein, but the sole purpose is to keep ourselves motivating.

    Like, im a food freak... i dont have control on food at all.. so gained a lot of weight.. since i started yoga, im like very controlled about my intake.....

    my weight is also reducing slowly...

    I too have same problem, if i diet for two days then on the third day i will have double the amount of food, so will update my exp next week onwards, my yoga guru told me that she will give me a diet chart. If u have any such type pls share..

    Hi
    from today onward i have starte to do surya namskar.I feel very fresh as i wake up early.Will post the result after one week.Other than that which type of yoga can we do?
