Unhappy help me loose weight...

Hello …. For all those overweight people out there who are desperate about loosing their unwanted blubber, I would like to share my thoughts.
Good, wholesome, Indian food and bad eating habits along with lack of any proper regular exercise has made me a hefty 85 kg with a height of 5’4” at the age of 37. I know I belong to the extremely obese class of women, who are frantic about hiding their bulges under layers of clothing, as nothing else works. But the worst part of it all is the misery that I go through when I watch my slimmer friends float effortlessly through life. This is a problem I have been having right from my child hood days. I have always had a tough time, finding dresses my size, and have had to compromise miserably. All I can say is that the fight still goes on…..
For the past few years, I have been going on a morning walk, but to no avail. I do have occasional fits of health consciousness and that is the time I try to do a bit of yoga, or exercise, and even stay off oil and sugar. But very soon, I loose my resolve as I don’t see much improvement on the weighing scales. I don’t understand why it is so very hard to loose my weight.
Sometimes, I have a pain in my left knee also, which is quite scary. I do realize that the burden on my knees must be too much! If any of you are in my position, or if you have won the battle of the bulge, do give me some foolproof tips. .

Hi,

I think it takes a lot of hardwork to loose weight. The most important thing is to keep yourself motivated which is the tougher than loosing weight itself.Motivation to excercise would come in only when you enjoy doing it. You can try workouts which you enjoy doing it and makes you going back to it time after time. Everybody's body is different and enjoy doing things differently. Pick up a routine that is convenient to you and stick to it.Finding time to excercise is again another tougher task. With lots of other work, excercise gets the least priority. Find atleast 20 min per day to excercise...there is nothing more important than one's health in this world.You can try to be active all the time. I can go on and on and I know it's easier said than done...wish you all the best!!!

Dear, I have same problem too. Are you born in 1970? Well, I am. Also 37 years old, my weight rocketted to 80kg now (from 65kg). Also, have left knee pain, did x-ray and shows degenration of the ligaments. I also have backpain which really bothering me. My doctor confirmed that all the above problems are related to my increased weight.

I must really loose my weight to take care of my knee problem or otherwise i would have to crawl when I'm 50 years old. :bullshit

Really watching my diet now, and wants to walk at least 20mins everyday. My aim is to loose 1kg per week and reach a healthy goal of 60kg.

We can help each other to acheive our goals, Any other ladies would like to join us and support our mission. Unfortunately, we do not live in the same country, but that does not stop us from reaching our goal.

Well, when i was 65kg, which was near ideal weight, i had lots of self-confidence, and importantly the energy to run about. I'm missing all that now. So i'm very determined to fight my with weight and acheive my goal.

I live in Singapore. For a start, i have approached 2 other ladies living in my place to start morning walk at 6.20am. Proablly you could start that too. Walking buddies do help to maintain a healthy walking lifestyle. Also, i become a vegetarian which a bit difficult as i have to cut down my carb intake.

I would encourage you from time time, with latest info of my improvements and expect you to also encourage by updating your progress.

We will help each other. Don't worry, it's a beginning of new year, we still have a year to accomplish our mission.
