    Here is my daily diet

    BREAKFAST
    1 katori upma / Poha / vegetable sandwhich with hung curd (either one of it)
    2 cup tea

    LUNCH
    1 fist Rice (cooked with three time water change)/ 1 multigrain roti
    Half katori dal and half katori sabzi
    Salad

    SNACKS
    1 cup tea with 2 biscuits / puffed rice and sometime I take one fist of Nanak pare

    DINNER
    1 multigrain roti with one katori sabzi
    1 cup tea

    In between I take any seasonal fruit
    This is my daily food intake...

    EXCERCISE
    pranayam 30 min
    Yoga 30 min

    Walk 4.5 k.m in an hour

    I know if I need to Reduce weight, I need to make changes in my diet and excercise...Can someone give me some guidance on this

    For toning i concentrated on the lower body this evening.
    Abductors and adductors in various forms and many repetitions.Strangely my nagging knee pain from the lunges 4-5 days disappeared after abductor workout.:clap
    glutes exercises

    Then ab crunches in various forms with and without legs
    Obliques with and without leg stretches

    Hi Anjali,

    Your diet seems pretty good dear. What I notice is 4 cups of tea in a day. Hope you take half sugar in it, otherwise you might end up with a large dose of sugar from the tea.

    Keep at it dear, you will definetly get to your goal :)

    Now I have made some changes in my workout... I started doing treadmill with incline 2 and slowly and slowly I will increase it. Also I started doing intense running i.e change speed at the maximum and bring it low after 15 seconds. Hope this change will help me. Will post my results.

    Thursday -Food intake:

    Morning - coffee, Wheat dosai 2 + pothukadalai chutney + turnip subzi.
    Afternoon - 1/4 cup veg rice + 1/2 cup turnip subzi + 2 tbsp plain yougurt + 1 small slice of chocolate cake (homemade)
    Eve - 1/2 cup team
    Night - 3 wheat dosai + tomato chutney + 1 small apple.

    Workout:
    Walked 30 mins

    This morning did a brisk walk for 40 minutes.Good weather here....

    A good brisk 50 minutes walk this morning.

    Walked at moderate pace for about 40 minutes this morning;Sunday feels like a lazy day...

    For toning session this evening,did a power yoga segment LOTUS LINK for 22 minutes.
