HI...

In case if you tried only water melon on the first day and failed ... just try varieties of fruits... also there is no limit for having fruits... when ever you feel hungry have a fruit and water... 3lt water is also very important... all the best...

Default Re: GM Diet -fad diet....

Please dont follow these fad diets that just damage your bodily system.

I tried this ....desparate to lose Kgs...recommended by experienced person.
I can diet hard but for this couldnt make it more than 6th day.
Banana day is worst....headaches ..whole day bcos of bananas.. you wont eat bananas for 2 months after this diet.
I worked out also for initial 3 days but starved body wont let us excercise so stopped later and no significant difference in wt (0.6 lb less )

Why do people lose weight with these diet?
There is nothing magic...in any kind of wt loss program.
When we start starving our body ,suddenly lesser calories coming in, first of all water weight will go and then fat & muscle loss..
If we starve our body for longer, body wd get used to of low diet and slow down metabolism ,thus no-weight loss.
But as soon as diet is over, water-weightcms back.

I think eating healthy and low cal (in the beginning-to trigger weight loss) and workout is easier than starving and living 7 days with headaches.

I completely agree with PetiteFashionB. I tried this diet twice over a period of three months time. Though I could reduce around 4Kgs each in both the attempts, but the worst thing happened later. Before trying this diet, I had a very long thick black hair till my hip, just after this diet started losing bunches and bunches of my beautiful hair
Right from the beginning my mother was very much against this diet, but I was adamant and did, now after 3 years, am yet to get back my hair, but got back those lost weight

So my humble request to friends who want to reduce weight is please do a normal fiber rich diet, with less oil, strictly no fried items, no large quantity of rice ( specially no rice for dinner), no sweets along with good amount of exercise, 30 to 45 mins of walk at least.

Even after doing all this you are not shedding off your weight, I would suggest you to go and consult a doctor because the weight gain could be due to some hormonal imbalances.

I didnt mean to hurt anyone who support this diet, but wanted to share my experience also with the IL friends.

I am on this diet for 3 days and so far haven't seen any change in body weight. today is a tough day for me as I am not a banana eating person. BTW, can I substitute Beef with Chicken for tomorrow?
