my height is 5"4
i weigh 82 kgs
i ve to lose 20 kgs to stay healthy
i have a 5 month old kid
i m planning to lose 15 kgs before his first b'day by aug 2009(hope so)
I am 5 ft 2 in tall and weights about 165 lbs; I am overweight I think my ideal weight shold be like 130-135 lbs. I needs to loose at least 30 lbs; I want to be 125-130 lbs by my b-day July 26 it will be a nice B-day gift for my self.
I think I am emotional eater. Whenever I am sad, depressed or happy I find my comfort in food. I read all of your post and find a great insight that will help me in my weight loss challenge.
I want to personally thank Dhivya Rangarajan for this wonderful plan she has for herslef. I want to follow the same plan if you don't mind so I can meet my goal.
Here's my diet plan:
6 a.m - warm water with honey and cinnamon (10 ounces)
7.00 a.m - a cup of coffee (it is a must can't function without coffee) 8:00 1 glass of water (10 ounces)
8.30 a.m - a cup of yogurt or slice of bread or oats as breakfast 9:30 am 1 glass of water (10 ounces) 10:30 am - banana or small fruit 11:00 am 1 glass of water (10 ounces)
12:30 p.m - 1 small cup of rice and chicken/veg curry 1:30 pm 1 glass of water (10 ounces)
4 p.m - snack on nuts or have another fruit 4:30 pm - 1 glass of water (10 ounces)
6:00 pm - 1 glass of water (10 ounces) 7 p.m - dinner will have either salad or soup no heavy meal
WorkOut plan at home
Monday do yoga (I guess I will be a beginners) Wednesday (Brisk walking and some crunches) Friday (treadmill 20 min) Tuesday/ thursday do aerobics Sat/Sunday(treadMill)
This is my plan for weight loss and I hope and pray that I will be able to complete it and meet my goal of 130 or 125 lbs

i read most of your posta and i am writing coz i am into exercising and have lost weight without actually dieting.I work out at the gyme in Ahmedabad and have come in contact with lot of ladies who have been exercising since years without any change- now this is demotivating right ??? NO dont be .the reason is they have not lost because they actually are not wanting to ,they are not determined and when they see me getting slimmer by the day they come out with whole lot of excuses to convince me and themselves why they are actually not loosing weight ...one of them says that she cant coz its in her genes.well to this my reply was that then what about KAREENA KAPOOR its in her genes from both her parents side and down the line then WHY is she and how is she topping thelist of being slim and and has a zero figure ???so you get me here it has to be total determination.now there is another lady who was very Fat and has lost 30 kgs just by exercising and eating right NOT dieting.
Another thing I would like to tell you all that DONT Go with the Notion of loosing !kg every week .It does not work that way .Even if you do it will be with crash dieting and which is not long lasting as you will loose mostly fluids and not fat which will come back immediately and secondly you will not be able to hold on to that kind of diet.
It normally takes 3 months to lose weight permanatly with exercising and proper right diet.Dont even think that the scale will show few grams less and dont be surprised if it actually showes more .KEEp exercising religiously for 3MONTHS without asking for a change.Eat right and then after the 3rd month see hhow the weight gets shaved off your body.This is permanent weight loss.it will not make you look aged and you will have good tight muscles.dont starve yourself ,keep yourself stuffed with right food.

I exercise at the gyme like there is no another day
I dont give excuses for not exercising coz at the end of it its just cheating myself.
I have a 17 year old son but people mistake me for his sister who must be around 27 years old
I look after my skin by not using any artificial products
I make friends easily and have many coz they are stress busters
Everyone has problems in life and loads of them but I keep problems and my happiness separate.
Give space to everything in life be it family ,friends ,joy , sadness etc.

The best tried & tested way to lose the initial weight is taking a brisk walk in empty stomach in the morning for 30 mnts.If it is early morning,nothing like it. You can consume luke warm water before your walk which will help to flush away excess toxins from the body.Do try this for 4 weeks & notice the change in yourselves.I did the same & experienced it.
Hey friends dont do anything with empty stomach.All the time there will be a bell ringing that u have not eaten anything and u will actually start pitying urself and one fine day give up the fight .the best thing and scientific thing is always eat something in the morning ...have we not heard that always have a good breakfast.well you know why??? because a eating something in the morning increases out metabolic rate which in turn burnd our calories faster and hance we start loosing weight faster too....as for me i always drink a good cup of milk with a nice medium size chappati..which takes care of my carbohydrates....then after about 1-2 hours i go to exercise...well friends see u next week coz im going out for a holiday....see ya soon
