Hey girls,

Am a new IL. Hi to all of you. Here are some good diet plans. Just check it out:

(i) Morning - on an empty stomach - have 1 glass of warm water with a teaspoon of honey and qtr lemon juice (wipro sanjeevani's lemon honey is also there.. probably girls who do not have time or patience can put two teaspoons in warm water and use).

This method removes toxins from your system, cleans the daily waste effectively and reduces fats and cholestrol from accumulating.

(ii) Morning breakfast - oats with rasam or oats with salt. (i take half glass of milk and half glass of water, boil it and put oats, almonds and dates - with no sugar but a teaspoon of honey).

Almonds are a rich source of protein and dates are a rich source of iron and calcium. You can also add some broken wheat or barley to the same, which gives us a lot of fibre but does not increase our calories. Honey is an anti-oxidant, effective skin-cleanser and natural sweetener too.

(iii) Mid Morning : Buttermilk with little lemon or little salt.

Butter milk is also a rich source of calcium and it enhances digestion.

(iv) Brunch : Salads (finely grate onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, capsicum, beetroots. add little sprouts and add some chat masala, little salt and lemon)

Salads reduce our appetite intake and reduces blood cholesterol. All the above have rich vitamins essential for our system and a handful of raw sprouts everyday reduces hair fall - proven scientifically.

(v) Lunch : Two chapathis with dhal or greens; a little bowl of rice with curd

This is needed.

(vi) Mid evening snack : A cup of tea with less sugar and 3-4 marie biscuits

(vii) Dinner: Two chapathis or a cup full of oats with rasam or salt.

Actually, our diet needs to be more nutritious to compensate the loss of food. It needs to have all vitamin, protein, iron, calcium and fibre supplements to enhance our nutrition to withstand hunger. Also, a 15 minute warm up associated with yoga or exercising may help a lot to put down weight.

I would say a proper diet regimen combined with proper exercising may help you lose upto 2-3 kgs a month. Check it out and let me know the results.

Hi gals,

This is Vibha here and am trying to lose weight. Can i join this group?

Iam 5'6'' tall and weigh 74kgs. I started at 85 kgs, lost 7 kgs in 3 months last year put back on 2kgs during my year long trip to US and again lost 5 kgs since the last two and half months this year.

I love working out in gym but have the tendency of losing interest every few months. Once i stop going to gym i start hogging. This time iam determined to lose weight permanently and stay thin. Thats why i want to join this group for motivation. Seeing so many people lose weight gives me motivation to stick to my weight loss plan.

I want to lose around 15 kgs more.I go to gym 20 times a month for 1 1/2 hours a day. 45 mins of cardio(10 mins jogging, 5 min walking, 20 min elliptical, 10-12 min cycling). 45 min of crunches, leg raises, sit-ups, stick exercises, crunches, cycling with legs, twister).

Food wise i had huge craving for Chocolates, icecreams, sweets. Now i just like sweets, trying to keep it to a minimum. I dont follow any diet as of now just very heavy breakfast, salads/subway veggie delight sandwich for lunch and something light for Dinner. I have coffee once a day and buttermilk either in the night or morning 3 times a week. Weekend binging happens once a month.

Appreciate any suggestions on controlling diet and any exercises to lose tummy fat.

Cheers,
Vibha

Hi Anitha,

Soya Upma is similiar as we make as normal upma..

First roast soya beads or crunches slightly, thn cook it in water with a pinch of turmeric and half spoon salt ,till they become more or less soft.At the same time cook ur veggies in water, till they become soft.Drain the water from soya and veggies with the help of filter. Thn in a pan add 1 spoon oil add your veggies slightly roast them and put soya with them, aad ur favourite spices with salt and cook for 2 to 3 min....

U can add onion also if u want before adding veggies in oil..

Happy to know that u liked my diet chart..

Hugs,
dg..

Hi Uma,

As u said soya will be rubbery..

u can also try this one with soya chunks for crispy one....

Soak about a cup of soya chunks in plenty of water for about 15 minutes. Squeeze out all the water from the chunks and keep aside.
Heat 2 -3 Tbsp of butter in a small wok or a shallow pan and add the chunks to it. Fry on low to medium flame till they turn golden brown. It would take less than five minutes. Remove them and sprinkle salt and chili powder (optional) on the chunks and mix them well.
Serve them hot.

Hugs,
dg..
