| Hi all My weight is 180 lbs. Height 5'6 Target weight 140-145 lbs... I have to reduce weight...All these days i am afraid(dont know why) to say it and denying it.there i said it i have to loose it..after going through the first 10 pages i got motivated by seeing these many people in the same boat as i am in...i dont know if i could join this now or not....just let me know please.....by the way i also have PCOS regards srav |

| I am also not happy about my weight but due to work schedule problems, am not able to regulate my diet and end up eating just about anything. Vaidehi, what exactly did you do or eat? Can any of you suggest some simple low fat indian recepies? Anita |

| Hi Anita, Intially i just gave up completely on sugar,Refined Foods(maida,Starchy foods) and soda drinks. This Helped me a lot in loosing weight. I drink nearly 10 glasses of water a day and take Raw cabbage either for lunch or dinner.i take only skimmed milk for coffee or tea. And i Started going to Gym regularly and made it a point to burn 300 Cals a day for one hour. I go to gym almost 6 weeks a day and take steam bath once a week. I take rice only once daily with lots of dhals and veggies. And strictly avoided choco,candies and icecream. This has helped me loose 15 pounds in 2 .5 mths . I also take lot of Kollu (horsegram) in my diet. Intially for a week u might find it tough but then u will get used to it Anitha i know, these are all Boring rules which we read in some books or internet for weightloss. | Dear Vaidehi, Thanks a lot for the detailed reply. Some queries? Do you eat the cabbage completely raw? Not even boiled? What exactly is Kollu? is it something like sprouts? Would you be able to tell me about some low carb recepies? By the way which part of the world do you live in and what do you do , i mean professionally? Regards Anita |
