    Dear Ilites,
    I'm posting the diet chart in parts, due to time constraint.
    Part -1

    Morning - warm up exercise like 5 to 10 sit ups.(dunt strain urself too hard and get exhausted).
    Have a tumbler of luke warm water .
    If u have time please go for walk before having tea/coffee for 30 mins(brisk walking).

    Morning: Tea/Coffee/Milk - 1 cup - skimmed milk - 1 tsp sugar only.

    B/F:eek:ats /cornflakes/whaetflakes -with skimmed milk
    Fruits - 1 serving
    (OR)
    Idli -2-3 nos/dosa -2nos/uppma(very less oil) - 1 cup/veg. chutney 2 tbsp/dhal/curry

    Mid Morning: Buttermilk/lemonjuice -very less sugar/soup/tea/coffee - 1 cup only.

    Okay Ilites...Here goes Part -2:


    Lunch:
    Rice -1 1/2 cups(cooked) or Raw wt- 75 gms.
    Sambhar/Curry(with minimal oil for tempering)
    Veggies - 2 servings ( not as fries/only boiled or raw)
    Greens/Salad.
    Buttermilk/curd - 1/2 cup.
    No fryms/Papads/chips etc.

    Evening:Tea/Coffee/Milk - 1 cup
    (With)
    Bread sandwich- 2slice/Biscuits -2 nos./Roasted dhals/Rice flakes - 25 gms.

    Mid- evening:Cut Fruits/Lemon Juice with very less sugar/boiled corn/boiled pulses/biscuits -2 nos.

    Dinner: Phulkas - 3 nos/Rice-1 1/2 cup/Idli -3 nos/Dosa-2/appam-2 (any one of them)
    With
    Veg. curry/Veg chutney/dhal.

    This entire diet accounts to 1600 calories.For my weight, this has been suggested.It might vary from person to person.

    Tips:
    Increase water intake by 2.5-3 litres/day.
    Try to drink luke warm water all the time.
    Do not cut down on salt instead reduce sugar qty as mentioned.
    No Pastries/fried items/chat
    No icecream/carbonated drinks.

    How to burn 100 Calories:

    Brisk walk -25 mins
    Aerobics - 20 mins
    Lift weights -33 mins
    Yoga - 25 mins
    Climb stairs - 20 mins
    Cricket - 20 mins
    Clean Car - 23 mins
    Mop floor - 23 mins
    Iron clothes - 43 mins
    Cook- 40 mins.

    This diet chart is till 6-8 weeks only.After that i will have to switch over slowly to fruit and veggies diet.

    So will keep you posted.

    Your chart seem to work out for me....but u say that u would be switching to a different diet later on ....that worries me...


    How to you drink 3 litres of water a day....I know I can drink but often forget...Any tips?

    Hi gals,
    good news to you! I consulted a dietician yesterday as per our dear Chitvish and had started my diet today inspite severe headache. She was very practical and had charted a diet plan for me and also exercise for 2 weeks now. I shall have to meet her again by the time and we shall proceed after seeing how I am managing with the plan.
    My chart-
    1 glass of water first thing.(I get up at 5)
    Then after 15 min., 1/2 glass warm water with lemon and a little honey.
    15 min. later, 1 cup coffee without sugar. This is to be over before 5.45.
    Then a small fruit at 7 (I had 1/2 cup grapes).
    Breakfast at 8- 4 small idlies with pottukadalai chutney+1 glass water.
    1 glass water at 10.20 (water consumption should be 2 lts)
    At 11, 1/2 cupcucumber and 1/2 glass thin buttermilk.
    Lunch at 1- less rice, veg.kootu and one more veg., sambhar and 1/2 cup curd.
    Must be active immediately after lunch fo nearly 45 min.
    May be lie down and nap for 30 min.
    Walk for 20 min. at 4. Then tea and 3 marie biscuits at 4.30.
    Dinner at 8- 1/2 quantity of breakfast (can eat anything)
    At 9.45 half a fruit. To bed by 10.30
    Of course, no sweets, sugar, bananas, crispies and oil and also no tube veggies.

    She has advised walking only 4 times a week.Thought I should take it slow and steady. I shall have to reduce at least 15 kg for the ideal weight to be reached.

    Hi there,
    I do not see anybody., may bedue to weekend . Well, I was able to stick to my diet today also.
    Got up late.
    So water, warm water wit lemon, and coffee as usual. Then had oats porridge at 10 only. No veg. at 11. Lunch was at 1.30 with same amout of rice, veggies, sambhar and rasam, 1/2 cup curd.
    Tea at 5 with 3 milk biscuits.
    Dinner at 9 - 3 small poha buns (no filling) and veggies and 1/4 cup curd.
    No fruit today.
    had a walk for 30 min. moderate speed.

    Your diet chart is inspiring. Will follow it. But I love bananas, must eat atleast one a day.
