    Hi friends,

    Diet plan for working women:

Before leaving home for work, eat a good breakfast. Eat some poha or upma or egg whites or some cereal and milk along with some fruit. Carry salads, curds and some roti and vegs. for lunch if possible. Snack on fruits or if not possible eat some idlis or veg. sandwhich or sukha bhel . Once you come home have some veg. soup and then follow it up with your regular food along with salads and curds. In office try to take a stretching break - just stand up and stretch your body - every 1/2 hour.

    All the best

    Hello

Pl suggest me a diet plan as my wokring schedule as under :

I get up in the morning at 5.30 am and leave for my office at 9.15 am and come back home at 7.30 p.m i have to send my daughter to school at 7.15 am

i feel very tired in the evening after i come from office and feel like eating sugary items . i hae checked my sugar level and not diabectic but ia have high LDL cholestrol (220) and HDL is 62 and triglycerides 65.

hence i need a plan so that i should not feel tired and helps in reduce cholestrol

    thanks and bye

    Dear sarada,

My husband also had high LDL (240).The mantra is eating a lot of fruits.Whenever u feel hungry in between meals binge on fruits, but apple is v gud.U have to cut down on oil, butter, cheese and thick curd.If u r a south indian cut down on coconut.
These things are sufficient,as u r a working mother ur body is getting enough exercise.
Follow the diet pattern for 3 months and see the magic.

Idlis won't be such a good idea since they are so full of carbs. Rotis are not such a great choice too. I suggest doing soup and salad but you can't do that for years can you?

Pack fruits and nuts for snacking.

Try to get a nice big oat cereal breakfast. That helps you keep full throughout the day so that you don't take in that junk from the vending machine.

Rotis and idils are not bad. If idils are made with cracked wheat i.e. rava idly then it shall have lost of fiber. And rotis since are made of wheat have fiber too. So they are not empty carbs. Things like white rice are empty carbs and not good.
But roti and idly have fiber and are considered good :)
