Hi Blore IL's...!!

This is Uma from hyderabad. Both myself n my DH are working as Software professionals..recently my DH is trying to relocate to blore for another new company..
Apart from the weather conditions @blore ...i heared that a rented house would be a problem it seems...!! could anybody staying @blore guide me...!!
where can we get some good rented houses/flats....
and am afraid that i donno blore..language prob n all...!!

I am basically from bangalore.

Weather in Blore is v good.That is really a plus point for you.

Language i would not think might pose such a big problem as in Blore there are boards and sings in english everywhere.Even on city buses you can see that they write route both in kannada and english.And trust me kannada is such an easy language to learn you can do that in 6 months to a year.

Then about rent,yes i also heard that recently rent has increased in blore.But as you say both you and husband is in software i guess you will be earning good amount of money and rent must not matter that much.

Taking any house or apartment for rent,i would suggest take some place near to your office so that you can reduce commute.If you can share with me where exactly you both will be working then maybe i can suggest you a good and affordable nearby area.

I am a total Bangalorean born & brought up her. I will say you will love this place...... the weather is good, people are also good. You can take any house or apartment for rent. But take it near the place of your office itsef as you will be saving the time on travelling. Some companies do help people to get houses through agent..... check on that. Language is no problem here as it is a cosmopolitan and people do speak all languages. if you know hindi, english, tamil etc you can easily manage.

Welcome to Namma Bengalooru!
If you are looking for a rented house/apartment consider the following things:
1) Distance from your office
2) Connectivity to other parts of B'lore
3) Water availability
4) Schools nearby (if you have kids)
The best places suited for IT couple are BTM, HSR layout, Marathahalli, Koramangala,Adugodi,Bommanahalli,Madivala, J.P. Nagar 7th phase, bannerghatta road, places near ITPL etc.
Also, most of the companies provide company leased accomodations where the company itself provides you a home, gives the advance.No worries at all na... and it helps in tax savings also!
