Default for my baby

hi all,

my baby boy is 3 months 3 weeks old. I was breastfeeding him but last to last week i realized that its not sufficient for him. i consulted my doctor and started giving lactogen to him.
I am using cup n spoon to feed him.sometimes he is not able to have it all at one go,can i keep the leftover milk and give him again after few hours?
request your suggestions on this. i really feel bad as i was not able to continue with breastfeed for six months.
is there any side effects for this?i am really very tensed and request you all to help me.

cheers,
Anshul

Hi,

Lactogen milk should be given within 30 minutes after the Preparation time. The milk will get spoiled. I guess it will be written on the pack itself.

Thanks.

Hi Anshul,

As Saisenthil suggested, you should not store lactogen milk for longer.
Think positive about breastfeeding...'coz they say the lactation depends on how you think. Normally most mothers get to feel the lack of sufficient milk for their babies after the 3rd month. At this point, your baby's proper growth is more important than you feeling guilty. Relax and feel good that you are doing something in the well being of the baby. I'm sure your lactation will also improve if you think positively.
Additionally, you can post this query here Parenting-Breastfeeding.

Even my sister had the same problem.

We consulted the doc and he Said only mother's milk is good till 9 months and he gave some tablets and a powder to mix in Milk and she should have a cup of milk before half an hour she feeds.
