Mangalsutra broke!

    Hello everyone!

    Unfortunately my mangalsutra broke and few of the black beads came out. I want to know if it's possible to repair it. And also whether it's bad omen if a mangalsutra is broken. I recently got marrird and it broke while changing my clothes.

    Please let me know what can be done. I don't want to buy a new one because it is very dear to me.

    Anybody who has got the same bad experience as me?

    You can definitely gte it repaired. Take it to your jeweller or from the hsop where it was purchased. Mangalsutra is a symbol of your marital status. It broke accidently, so don't think too much. A happy marriage is the life that two people share together with lots of love, understanding and adjusting. Don't worry dear.

    Yes it can be repaired. They may just have to rewire the beads on another gold wire. The thickness of that wire varies. Choose one that fits your budget.

    Ok thanks a lot. I've lost few of the beads. Do you think they can replace the beads if I take it to the shop where I bought it from? Sorry for asking questions which might look silly.

    Dont be too sentimental about it...it will only hurt you more. Remember it is only a symbol of marriage...itz ur love that should not break :)

    I remember when I was a kid my mom was doing something and her wedding ring came off. She had wanted to never take it off till death. She cried like anything but stayed happily married to the end. These tokens are dear to our hearts but life is bigger than that.

    Yes it can be replaced with identical or at least similar beads. Best suggestion is take it to your jeweler right away and repair it. It will take the burden off your heart.
