Need info on bangle base

Hi Friends,
I have just learnt jewellery making and started doing it.. I have started on making a bangle with glass pearls and golden balls in between.. I used golden gear wire for stitching.. When my friend saw the bangle she said the bangle looks nice but the bangle base is yellowish in colour which looks very artificial and can fade very quickly..

My questions are..
1. What types of pearls can we use for better quality and the price for the same?
2. What kind of bangle base can we use for a longer life,cost for the same and shop details in chennai
