How to choose a string of jewelry making

    Hi claire.. u can use the normal gear wire for all stringing purpose.. it is available in ebay.com and various other sites... if u hav only an thin one,u can use a double string to bear the weight of ur beads...

    Hi Claire,

    Most use Gear wire(you also have a choice of colours).Most come from China and so you will get a good deal of all jewellery materials.
    But one professional jeweller told me that they are using Nylon thread as it is much stronger and won't break easily

    Polyester thread which looks like machine thread spool is quite strong. If you don`t want your chain to be stiff you can use this.

    can it be easy to string the beads?

    yes you can even string pearls with small holes using the thread. It can`t be cut by hand so you have to use scissors and then apply fevicol/soap/candle to seal only the stringing end. Otherwise it won`t be stiff.
