jewellery photography...

    hi ppl.... hope all of u r doing goood..

    Recently am into jewellery making and and for now i have made few peices... i need them to be photographed neatly... i have a basic point and shoot camera,,, i cant afford for SLR... can anybody suggest me hw to photograph my jewellery with real colors in it,,,,? wud like to share in fb page... ideas pls...


    Tell me if u know anybody who photographs neatly for a nominal cost...

    Any high end mobile phones will also help you for good pics. I do click jewelry pics from my phone.

    All you need to do is, have a white base/ background, Focus mode set to MACRO.

    All the digi cams have this mode. The only thing is shoot it in different angles and near by.

    HI Kavi, Take a snap with your normal camera and edit it with Picasa or photo shop if you have. This way your picture will be more clear. Do not use flash as this will highlight the colour. There are 2 ways.

    1.If you have 2 table lamps, you can take pictures with your jewel at the centre.

    2.Otherwise You can place jewel in room which is very bright and keep an object or thermocoal piece so that the shadow of the object falls on the jewel and take a snap without flash.By this way you can avoid any shadow behind the jewel and then you can edit it using picase and give more lighting. This way the jewel will look exactly the same as in the real. Try this. This will work out.
