    Hi All,

    I thought of posting some images of jewelry tools and their names. I have collected all these information from the internet. Hope it helps you all. If you think this thread is informative and helpful, please rate this thread.

    If any of you want information regarding any type of bead please ask your question here I will try to reply with images if possible :)

    These are called the ROUND NOSE PLIERS. You can see the 2nd image and its usage.

    You can FLAT NOSE PLIER in the 1st image. 2nd image shows the types of pliers availble. These pliers are not available in India. We have to order online.

    1. Earring posts
    2. Fish hooked earring hook (used for length ranging from short to long)
    3. Lever-backed earring hook
    4. Kidney earring hook (used for those designs which are simple or very grand. But not long)
    5. Hoop earring hook

    All these days have been seeing the lovely designed jewellery by our IL friends and used to wonder what is actually used to make this pretty jewellery. I knew something like a plier is used.

    Lovely thread ... I would like to know which pliers should beginners buy? There are so many I have combination plier and flat nose plier for what can these be used? For crimping do you need to buy seperate plier? can combination plier be used?

    Round pliers are very important. they are the ones 90% of the times used.

    Flat pliers are used to crimp the beads at the ends and are helpful during wire wrapping for support. It is good if you have it too.

    A beginner should have round and flat pliers along with a cutter for easy making and neat design :)
