Default Navratri Celebration in Vaishno Devi

Nestled in Trikuta hills in the Himalayas, the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine and the base camp, the temple town of Katra in the foothills, present a festive look during navratri.

Navratri is a special occasion for everyone and when devotees find the temple beautified, the charm and devotion increases.

Goddess Vaishnavi is believed to have spent some time while observing various spiritual disciplines and penances.

The culmination of this journey is at the holy cave where She merged Her Human form with the astral form of Her creators, the three supreme energies.

How do you feel when you go there?

The journey to the Holy Shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi is thus an enchanting journey of the places where Mata Vaishnavi had spent some time while observing various spiritual disciplines and penances.

The culmination of this journey is at the Holy Cave where She merged Her Human form with the astral form of Her creators, the three Supreme Energies.

This nine-day festival is celebrated in a unique manner. A different form of the Mother Goddess is worshipped on each different day. On the first three days, the Goddess Durga is venerated. The next three days are spent in the worship of the Goddess Lakshmi. and the last three days are a celebration of the Goddess Saraswati.

The nine days and nights of Navratri are dedicated to Mother Goddess.

The celebrations of the festival include fasts, strictly vegetarian diet, japa (chanting mantras in honor of the Goddess Shakti) and recitation of religious hymns, prayer, meditation and sacred texts related to Goddess Durga.

Navratri is celebrated twice a year On both the occasions, nine different forms of Goddess Durga are worshipped. In the September-October celebrations, the main ritual consists of placing images of the Goddess in homes and temples. On the tenth day, the idol is immersed in water.

Numerous other celebrations are also associated with Navratri festival. But it is a great festival of our's
