Default Tattapani

Shimla is such a beautiful place that sometimes even the name gives such a relaxation. Beautiful mountains, springs and valleys. Breathtaking, Isn't it?

Tattapani is one such hot water spring. It is one of the most popular excursions from Shimla.

Many people visit the place as the springs are supposed to have medicinal value and healing properties.

Apart from the hot springs, Tattapani is also famous for its religious places and temples that should be visited if you are traveling here.

Did you go there?

This is truly a beautiful place.

In the time of langar, Raw rice is immersed in the river and taken out after some time. And lo, its almost ready to eat. that rice is given for langar.

So one can imagine how hot the water might be. Whatever, it is as beautiful as it looks like in the picture.

Dont you think that's interesting?

I have heard that this natural sulphur spring is pure and has curative power for various kings of bodily ailments.

The water level of the spring keeps changing with the fluctuation in the water level of the river. Tatta-pani means hot water.

People take a dip in this spring before going to the Shiv cave which lies only three kilometers from here.
