Pathankot - Place of interest

I was reading about Mukesran da mela, So suddenly the thought came to my mind about Mamoon Cantt, Shahpur Kandi, Ranjit sagar dam.. one of my favorates.

The people here are basically Punjabis. there language is sweet with the little affect of Dogri and Himachali.

Pathankot has been the seat of Loi and Shawl weaving industry.

There are infact many places to visit over here because it is a gateway to the Himachal and Jammu & Kashmir hill stations.

I hope someone might have visited there..

Pathankot is a travel hub in Northern India. It has an ideal geographical location as it's a meeting point of three states, Punjab, Himacha and Jammu Kashmir.

The accient shiva temple- 'Kathgarh'. is a very interesting place to visit.

During "Naag panchami" gap between two shiva parvati holy stones reduces and during "shivrathri" the gap increases. There is no clue as to how that happens? But truly its a magic in its own...

Isn't it interesting?

Did you know about this Shahpurkandi fort? It was built long back by Rajput chief Jaspal Singh Pathania. But now it is all ruins.

But looking at it, it looks distorted and broken. It even smells bad when we go in but It is still one of the attraction of Pathankot.

The decoration done in the chamber of the queen is so beautiful that even in the ruins and smells there is something really attractive..

It takes about four days to visit this fort..
