Continued from Let's Share Our Feelings - Part 2
Hope you all are doing good.
V, I agree. The thread was getting too long. I have been thinking about it since last week.
Yes Lata, gold is very expensive now. Eight grams comes around Rs.12,000/-. I saw a beautiful Ashtalakshmi bangle(5 soverigns), had to forgo it :( Thanks for the Gerber disposal idea. I have put up a post in Chennai section, if no one in IL wants it I plan to do it.
Yesterday went to Spencer Plaza. My first visit. So stylish it is, a little on higher side, I guess.
Two more days in India and then back to lonely land :))

oh isn't that a cool title... season 3 like Sex and the city hee hee!!
it has been ages since i went to spencers. must have been a decade atleast... my first 'posh' outing with DH in newly married days:) i feel one must go there to get the real feel of young Chennai... how much the city has changed...
V,
does A go full day to the pre-school? what all do they do? today I had to keep the boy home coz the sis has a real bad cold. she's now sleeping... me and DH took turns last night to keep awake . i really don't know how he woke up at 6 for a meeting at 8; i simply couldn't. so the point is to keep the boy busy i'm sort of doing things they do at school. reading time, drawing time and since he tells me what follows next looks like they do interesting stuff everyday. i made him pile up some cushions in one corner for 'our' reading corner. and he let me finish one whole article in Time! great isn't it:)
the montessori group that i go with little A... she taught us how to insist on letting the children play within borders. i am teaching her to pile up building blocks on the carpet and not to spill them outside that boundary. it seems to be working well.

Nitha - Thanks for starting this. The thread was getting rather too long.
So, I have been having a tough time at work for the past few weeks. Most of the rituals are over, save one, apart from the final "mottai" ceremony.
Just about 18 days left for Vinu's bday.... I am not yet done with the preparations. Barely got time away form work for this. Plan to finish most of it by this weekend (its an extended weekend.. thank God for that!!)
Day before yesterday, Vinu fell face down and her teeth pierced her upper jaw gums and she started bleeding like crazy. I felt so helpless... blood was just pouring out... and it was sometime before things subsided. She is ok now, but her appetite has not yet come back to normal....
Regards,
P

P | Poor baby! Thats happened so many times with A - only for him its upper teeth biting into lower lip and then bleeding like crazy for a while. the first time I was so upset; now I get a bit of cotton, clean him up and we go on... Hope she's ok soon. Quote:

They do prayers, some free play then circle time with games/songs (which A gets so bored with) then snacks and then some more free play and finally hit the playground (which is what A has been waiting for all morning ). After a couple of weeks they start weekly themes and base activities around that. They are supposed to have yoga, some gardening, some craft and some "academic" activities too. I like the teachers - they have more energy than the kids!

Hey, this is a surprise... how have you all been.
I have hardly been able to get online - thanks to our lousy broadband service provider. As of yet it is between 5000 bucks per annum nationalised provider or 3500 pm "reliable" service provider... there seems no other via media. I hate being off line, the good side of it is that our yard is taking shape well
Kiran is completely changed person - no more unhappy monkey. He is on the verge of dropping his nap, so it has been somewhat crazy. But other than that there is nothing that is bothering the child anymore, knock on wood. He has been with me to the oddest of places and yet not a sniffle. Hope it stays that way.
His current craze is the yard and watering the lawn. So, we are getting him out and about more often now.
So far so good
How have you all been... I dont know if the link will stay till I finish reading up past threads

Krithika,
you do sound very well... stay so touchwood:)
V,
I really like A's school. it's amazing you get such a thing in Erode. you'll love it, as i do, when the themed activities set in. This month is 'taste' at A's pre-school and at this age he has so much fun exploring visually and practically...
little A has been clinging onto me the whole day. so i couldn't bake some cookies as promised... anyways i'm not in any great mood to even cook today. i was planning to try my hands at a burfi but may be tomorrow. i didn't realise sat is public holiday here. was thinking of a manicure... well next week again...

latha | Actually I'm pretty amazed that this town has something like this too! The Montessori he goes to next year is really nice too; but people tell me that its not so great after Std VI or so when the pressure starts. I love the idea of Taste as a theme- there's loads of things to do around that. Quote:

Divya - have a good weekend!
We are planning to do some Deepavali shopping this weekend, maybe even a movie...(Kamal's latest)..let's see..
