cold cough and congestion in 5 month old

Hi all. my 5 month old baby has cold cough and congestion. took her to doctor and gave her lot of medicines for a week continously. today doctor asked to stop.her condition has improved but still congestion, cough n cold is there.please suggest any home remedies that are safe.. im tired of loading my little one with antibiotics..

Try heating a tbsp of coconut oil,add a camphor tablet to it and apply this oil on a betel leaf and use the betel leaf to apply the oil on the chest and back of the baby.The oil should still be warm when you apply.Hope this helps.

Hi,

Give your LO juice of ajwain and tulasi leaves with little honey.

You can heat half a cup of mustard oil. Add 5 cloves of garlic and let it turn black. Massage little of the oil on the head, nose, chest and the back.

Try to avoid applying coconut oil/ any other oil on the head for the entire day. You need to apply oil only before bath and wash.
