Hi, We went for a regular phyiscal for my 4 months old DD, her doctor did a physical exam and she is thinking that my DD's left leg is half inch longer than the right one and she ordered for a Ultrascan of her legs which we will be doing after couple of days.. I'm worried about it, does anyone of you faced the same issue ? What could be the possible reasons for it ? Thanks.
madam , this inequality of the leg length is caused by two reasons due to fibula the leg bone difference one from the birth and the other by injuries, as you have mentioned that your baby is 4 months old that could be due to the bone length difference '
Hi, You did not mention ultrasound of which part. I would think that the doctor had probably ordered ultrasound of hips to rule out hip dysplasia considering the age of your baby. I am not sure, because there are not much further information given here. Vaidehi
Hi, That is what I had thought. Below is the factsheet for why the ultrasound is being done. If you have further concerns PM me. I really don't like to talk these personal issues online. Don't be upset, there is no concrete answer for this at this stage, the result of the ultrasound will be the one which would be necessary, so await it.
