pasta to babies?

    can pasta be given to a 9month old baby, he has no teeth?
    how to give red aval to babies, plz share recipes of pasta n red aval

    Hi Unicorn,
    You can give mac and cheese to your baby. I had a similar post a while ago. I have not given to my LO yet. Whenever I look for options to buy, I get confused. As I have not made it before ( from scratch), it feels little difficult to make choice.

    Some people wait - because of salt content in cheddar or heaviness of cheese though my Ped had okay long back and many people ( I think here in US) give it to their kids.
    If you do, prefer to home cook and buy organic cheese and organic pasta shells.

    I overcook whole wheat pasta and give it with a dash of unsalted butter. Babies can chew with their gums. Lack of teeth does not mean lack of chewing.

    I soak aval. When it is soft, I add softened dates for sweetness. Toss both together and give as-is.
