    Hello everyone!

My wife n daughters have arrived in India on 3 weeks holidays. My elder daughter(6 years) is already chicken pox vaccinated. The query I have is with respect to the younger one (8 months). My wife is visiting her parents, and her niece has chicken pox. We were so excited about the cousins (my daughters n my wife's niece) getting to spend time together, but as she (the niece) contracted chicken pox, I am not sure, how do we go about it?

I think, I can trust the vaccination for elder one, but as younger one isn't vaccinated yet (it can only be given after she turns 12 months), I am concerned/worried about her. What precautions we can take so she's safe from the viruses? Is there anything that can be done?

    Many Thanks in advance!

Chicken Pox spreads via air. The only precaution I can think of is not exposed to the patient having chicken pox.

Exactly. The only possible way to avoid this is to stay away (different home is what I suggest) from the person infected with chicken pox.
