hi moms, Is it ok to give mashed potato, carrot and beans to baby while having cold ? also give me some ideas what else i can feed my baby in this winter season.. tks / ka
There are no restrictions what to feed when having a cold as the food will not have any impact on the illness. Usually kids loose their appetite when having a cold so anything that goes down is fine. It is important to get enough of fluids. No reason to avoid dairy products.
KAME, you can start butter now when you want to make some carrots or toast etc. again, with my kid, I avoid dairy. But small portions should be fine.
thanks all for your reply.. yes, i started ghee when she was 7 month old.. but mil saying not to give butter.. she is ok with ghee ? i dont understand why shouldn't give butter...
Ghee is the same thing as butter, the only difference is that the water and milk protein has been removed from the ghee. Salt free butter and ghee can be given (in moderation of course) to babies.
Ghee = Butter - milk solids. Milk solids are believed to increase mucus production (not proven scientifically).
