Can two different vaccines be given in two weeks gap? Say today I am giving DTP 2nd dose, after 2 weeks can I give IPV 1st dose? The paed in the hospital where I had my delivery said it should not be given. There should be a gap of 1 month. The Paed to whom I regularly check says, I can give two vaccines in a gap of 2 weeks. Not sure which one is right. Can someone help?

Hi I gave both the vaccines that you mentioned above together. Both for my dd and now my ds. Is there any specific reason to gjve it separately.
Yes there can be a alternative schedule. But this needs to be worked out with the pediatrician. Any vaccine needs 2 week before it starts working effectively. I usually give vaccines together which means I like to do it in one shot.
