Rash on 4 week old baby's skin

    I saw how frustrating it is for both the parents and the kid. One of my friend's kid had this eczema and to prevent the kid from scratching, they were using 'Scratch-me-not' brand clothes. I am not sure @ the price. Wishing that your kid's eczema gets better very soon.

    I took her to the doc today and she asked me to use 0.5% hydrocortisone cream for face and 1% cream for the rest of the body. Im yet to use them, hope they work. She asked me to follow the other things she previously told. The rash has reduced a bit but the doc said they is still a lot of it left.

    @butterflie Cortisone will definitely work. There is now children's cortisone also available in the market. It is 1% cortisone. I find it to be less thick than regular cortisone but it does clear the rashes effectively.

    Ramya- thats a relief to hear, honestly. Thanks for the feedback :) .. She prescribed 2 different ones - 0.5 and 1. Is 1% too potent for face?

    Try the 0.5% one first. It is always better to start with lower dosage.
