Hi friends.. My DD is 13 months old. As her pead. advice i have used DOVE soap for both body and head . Now i would like to use either shampoo or home based powder(like basin,Arappu ,...). She has very less hair and looks little browny. I want to improve her hair growth. Help me which one to choose.
Mrssiva, massaging with coconut oil sure helps in hair growth. At least this is what I was told. I don't apply any oil for my baby though. I use Aveeno shampoo, it's working great so far.
johnson and johnson head to toe baby wash is the best. Also, make sure to massage with coconut oil everyday. Also, did u shave her head after a year?usually, hair grows back thicker.
@mrssiva This is what I follow for my DD: Johnson's shampoo for hair Weekly once oil bath with payatha maavu Apply coconut oil on the head at night (depending on weather and/or going out plans) I have been following this routine since DD turned 1. Now she has enough hair to put a small braid.
hi, my son is 7months old.. i'm using himalaya shampoo... when using johnson shampoo, i observed his hair turning brown.. moreover i read somewhere that johnson shampoo has got some strong chemical used which causes cancer in infants.. himalaya is good..
Thank you friends.. @Dinny. Payatha maavu is Green gram powder used for skin tightening,glowing,etc.. we are using coconut oil for massaging from birth... once a day bath with payatha maavu mixed with nalangu podi(herbal mix for baby) for body...
Dear mrssiva, I use green gram powder instead of shampoo for my son (1.5 yrs old). It is very good. I make a paste out of that powder and apply on his hair and leave it for 2 mins. By that time, I wash his entire body and then finally wash out his hair. I usually do oil massage before doing this hair pack. This is very safe and you can give it a try. Regards, Viji
