Mixing camphor with hot coconut oil and applying it on the chest and near nose also might help. I have read it in this froum itself about it ..I guess Swaran had given this remedy.

    Hi Uma/Vidya,

You can also try this. Heat coconut oil and add a pinch of pachai karpooram (edible camphor) and omam (oregano seeds) to it. Cool it and apply on the chest and under the arms. See to it that you add very little of this camphor.

    1. Make a small pillow of idli rice. Use this for keeping LO's head elevated. This supposedly helps in bringing out any water in the head.
    2. Pathu i.e making paste and aplying it on the forehaed. Make a paste of pure kumkum and BM. Apply lightly on forehead. This method should be used only as the last resort.

If you are BFing then it is better not to take curd/buttermilk or anything cold. Use nasal drops and bulb regularly to remove the mucus.

Citrus juices are not recommended for babies less than 1 year of age.

The tips given by Ramya are good and are helpful. It is not recommended give juice to a 3 weeks old baby.
Please keep breastfeeding your little one and keep her hydrated. She should get better soon.
