HI,
try rubbing a teeny bit of hing..mixed in water on the tummy..child,s skin is very delicate use teeny bit only in clockwise direction rub aroung navel..
try burping baby after feedes to reduce gas..
BTW r u constipated/eating foods which r gas producing..olden days that was the theory abt breast-fed babies:confused:

Hi
Take the child to a paediatrician
Before that you can try this: Soak black kismis in warm water for some time .Smash, sieve and give that water-just two spoons enough. My mother used to do this for my son.
If you are giving any other milk, give it only asdiluted .Give more water.
Try to avoid potato hot coffee etc.Take plenty of fruits and vegetables as you are breast feeding the baby.Hugs and kisses to your cuty!
Love
Meena

Hi,
My mother use to do this for my daughter usually if she does not pass stools.
She use to put some dry grapes in water and allow to boil for sometime. After cooling smash the grapes with hand and purify that water and give this in the morning and evening for 3 days. After that she doesnot have that problem.
For Gas, we use to give my daughter "Pal Kayam"(in Tamil), which is bought from medical shop(nattu marundhu kadai) and soak in hot water and give that morning and evening. This will help to reduce the gas.

Thanks,
Chinju.

Hi,
Since your baby is just two months old you cannot give her anything else other than breast milk. But it should be you who should be careful in eating. Check what you eat. Take lots of fibres. Take juices and water. Eat Garlic and Asafodeita in plenty. This is sure to help.

For a 2 month old baby I wouldn't give her anything, if you are worried take her to a doctor.
my daughter was not regular with her stools and the doctor told me that as long as she is not uncomfortable or having problems passing a stool, it is nothing to worry about.
Please do not give castor oil!
Don't forget to burp her after feeding her!

dear kunarum,

when my babies were very small it is our practise to leave them in the water, holding their head untill they are old enough to sit inside, u need to take the water from warm to a tepid cold in the initial stage but as u move may be a week of so increase the chillness, so that the body cools off, never give bath in very hot water, make it tepid, and if u can give only hot water along with ur breast milk, that is in a seperate paladai, a little water sometime do help, later pl start with some sweet fruit juice, no added sugar, but on its own it should be ripe and good, but diluted.

i think the baby needs more water, and you also go on a bland diet for sometime, as u are breastfeeding no to pickles, spicy food, molaga podi, avakkai, or chutney, u must stay in koottu, and simple bengali type of veg fry, they use only, turmeric, mustard, jeera, whole red chillie so that the spice does not go into the veg, and lighty fry them, make all things bland, to help the baby to recoup...sunkan
