Fibroids in breasts during lactation

Hai!!!

Recently i had been having severe pain in my breasts and gone to the doc to check if there was any milk residue(i was feeding my baby till recently).The doc upon examination told that there was a fibroid like substance in the breasts which was causing all the difficulty till now.She prescribed some meds and was hopeful that they would dissolve by themselves else they need to be removed surgically.Whats now worrying me is that is this common among lactating mothers or that very dreadful?Having seen so many cases of breast cancers around it makes me feel if it is that one.Can somebody please help me in clarifying this doubt....Please do share ur experiences if u had any....i have been having sleepless nights abt this issue.Please help!!!!!!
