Need your help Ladies- Dmv Road Test in virginia

Hi frnds,


I am really scared in taking this test , please help me frnds , i really need your valuable tips suggestions in getting thru the dmv road test in virginia. I passed the written test in first attempt , but i want to know how they proceed in road test, what are the things i need to take care of while driving,.
Is anyone in alexandria , going for road test please let me know, we can help each other . if anyone already got their license please guide me with some tips and good driving schools in the area.

And one more thing i also want to know is it possible to get license without taking the driving school classes and just learn in the parking lot or some open areas with the help of hubby.

All the below are from my own exp

It would be better to take couple of classes from a driving school. This is just to boost your confidence.

While on the road test, try to stop before all stop signs , follow the signals, drive to the speed mentioned in that street, dont go slow nor fast, both are not acceptable. Try to slow down when you see someone on a bike (I meant a cycle) beside you. Stay calm (this is the most important). Listen to what the instructor says before doing anything. While changing lanes use the indicator well ahead.

Following all the basic rules I am sure you will be fine. (Most of the instructors coming for the test are friendly).

While changing lanes, turn a bit on your shoulder side, to see the blind spot.

Yield for pedestrians

Turn back and see if you are merging froma exit to a highway

I have heard its better to wear shoes for the road test. For one of my friend, they rejected saying you didnt come with proper attire - Shoes. No sandals.

Be cool and confident.

When so many people can do it you can also do it.
