Indians in Maryland

Hi to Everybody!

I'm shrivanchi from Maryland. I am a silent watcher of this wonderful site. Tamil is my mother tongue. I am a book-worm, yeap I love to read books both Tamil(fiction and non-fiction) and English (non-fiction). I love to read Balakumarn Books and Osho books also one of my favorites.Sujatha, Madhan are also my favorite authors.We, (me and my friend) have a mini library of around 150 tamil book.It serves as a lending library to our friends' famillies.



I'm a Commerce graduate with B.Ed., and in Singapore I did my Diploma in Montessori (0-6 years). I have two sons of ages 12 and 8. We have been in Singapore for 10 years and we moved here two years before. I was busy in Singapore with my kids and tutoring for primary school kids. Right now, I am a full-time home-maker.
I' m volunteering as a tamil teacher in tamil sangam tamil classess.

I have some future plans like starting a Indian style Playgroup or Montessori Reading and Math programs.

Translating child psychology books and Montessori books into Tamil is one of my interests.

Welcome to this wonderland.wow ,mini libraray with Tamil books.Even I love to read Ramani chandran, Anuradha ramanan,Sivasangari and Bala kumaran books.Have a nice time in IL.
