Default Visiting Paris

Hello,
Myself and my husband are planning to visit Paris this summer.
We want to visit Paris only during weekend (due to vacation time available).
I have few concerns...
1. Is 2 days enough for visiting only Paris??
2. What are places to visit in Paris??
3. Is there any package tours available for 2 days only??
4. How much it would cost from Boston to Paris, food, accomodation etc (approximately).
5. Is there any Indian resturants in Paris??
6. Safe place for accomodations??
7. Local guides??

Thanks in Advance.
Punitha

Hi Punitha,

Me and my hubby had visited Paris for our HM. There are a lot of hotels near Eiffel tower. We had stayed in Best Western Derby Eiffel hotel which was walking distance from the Eiffel.
Local transport is very good in Paris..so don't worry about renting cars etc. Instead buy a good book from Frommers and get all the tips from the book on what places to visit, how to get there etc. You can also check Frommers.com to get some tips.
I think 2 days should be enough to see places around. We stayed for 4 days and we had plenty of time to visit nearby places too.

About food - We went to one Indian restuarant (I dont even remember the name and where it was), food was not good at all and it was expensive too. I would suggest take some chutney powders, pickles, chapatis etc and buy breads, fruits in local grocery shops there. I remember there was a local supermarket very close to the hotel where we stayed.

Enjoy your trip!
Sihi

Why don't you go to French restaurant?
If I ever go to India I will certainly try Indian restaurants...
