Dear Madhu,
We just returned from Italy. We used lonely planet - Italy book for sight seeing, stay, food, etc. we found it very good and helpful. You could try that. And i would recommend you (if you are Indian) try not to eat indian food in italy. because many ppl go to italy just for their food ;)
They are good in meat, wine and coffee. So if you are vegetarian pasta´s and pizza´s or salads are the options.
