Migrating to Holland from the US?

Hi All!
My husband and I live and work in the US and have been here for about 8 years. We're still Indian citizens. We have this wild idea of migrating to Amsterdam one day, finding a job there, and living there
We have looked up some information on immigration to Netherlands online, but aside from the Dutch assimilation test, we're not able to find much information. From a broad perspective, what are some things that we should know to even being seriously considering migrating to Netherlands? Do we need to find ourselves a job in Amsterdam first and then try to move there using that? Or is there a way to first get residency in Netherlands, move there and then begin to find work??
Can any of the Netherlands ILites help out with some info??
