Airfare to Paris from US ?

Hello ladies, my hubby is in university and is invited to Paris for a seminar in December, he wants me to accompany him but we need to get my ticket on our own. I tried google to get an idea about it but got a little confused. Can you ladies give me a rough idea of a round trip ticket to & fro Paris?

Also I would like to know whether we get vegetarian places to eat there? Since we would be lodged in a hotel, we are not sure what kind of food we may get there.

Another thing what is the mode of reaching hotel from airport.. taxi, shuttle which is more economical. I have heard that one should know basic French to converse with cab drivers? Is that right?
Also what would be the climate like in December.

Depending on when you fly the fares can vary anywhere between $300 to 800. If you travel on weekdays it is lower. I am assuming closer to Christmas more hike in the fares. For example, check this out -

I'm not too sure about vegetarian food but many indian restaurants are located in the Gare du Nord area which offer veg choice. You might get vegetarian choice in local cafes / restaurants as well - not too sure about that though.

From the airports of Paris, you can take the railway - RER (if it is CDG airport) and then the Metro to reach your hotel. As far as I know taking the train is economical.

That is true a certain extent though most French have basic English knowledge.

It will be cold. Average highs and lows are between 36 & 45 degree Fahrenheit.
