Visit to Amsterdam for Weekend - Tips / Info?

Hi all,

I am planning a weekend trip to Amsterdam. Any suggestions or tips or info on places to see, things to do etc. from residents of Amsterdam are welcome.

If you have ideas or info apart from the usual tourist attractions but think that would be great to do or visit, please let me know.
