Hi Kranthi,
I have been in your shoes. We bought a house in Dublin after much research. Alot of factors contributed in our move here. For starters, the Tri Valley area (Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore) is one of the best schooling districts after San Ramon and Danville. Also, it's a younger community as opposed to Fremont.
Given that you have a baby and convenience to work for either you or your husband, I'd suggest you look into those factors aswell apart from there being Indians in general. It always helps, ofcourse, to have Indian people around.
My husband and I don't plan on having kids for a while (I am just 23 ) But we moved to Dublin after giving all these factors a thought.
Let me know if you need any help
Ranjani.
PS: The move to Dublin also reduced our car insurance by half (My husband was in Fremont before we moved here)

Kranthi,
Before moving to Virginia, we've lived in Pleasanton,CA for many years. It is a fantastic place to bring up children.
Pleasanton/Dublin/SanRamon are all extremely good places with good school districts. Since I was residing in Pleasanton, almost all the apartment complexes have Indians in them.
To name a few, Springhouse Apartments and Archstone have a vast Indian community. If you are specifically looking for gas stoves, then Archstone is the place for you, but the rents are on the higher side. Springhouse has electric stoves but almost all the other amenities are the same and the bedrooms are a little bit smaller than Archstone. There is the Creekside park (just opposite to Springhouse apts) where a lot of Indian families/children come for walking/playing etc.
Right now, one of my friends (who lived in Archstone,Pleasanton) had bought a home in SanRamon and she says it is equally a lovely place with the school, stores etc that are pretty much close. A lot of Indians have moved into the new neighborhood there too!
Good luck in your search!
Cheers
Krithika
