Default Looking for House cleaning services

Hello,

Im looking for house cleaning services in california.....has anyone tried them, are the services reliable.

Can anyone give me the contact nos of such service agency in sunnyvale/cupertino. How much do they charge...is it hourly or how?

Are the people who come home trustworthy? ANy indian agencies who help in cooking also.

Please let me know as i shall be trying out for the first time and dont want to get cheated.
Hope my IL friends will help me out.

Check out the ads in pennysaver magazine. The proper maid agencies are quite expensive, charging atleast $100 for bi-weekly cleaning of a 2 bedroom. The fols who advertize in pennysaver are non-agency people and generally charge between $45 and $60 for bi-weekly cleaning of a 2 bedroom and are generally reliable. They generally come in a team of 2 and take about 2 hours, so it works out to around $10-$12 per hour per person. Anyone charging more than that should be avoided.

My cleaning lady I found on pennysaver has been coming for the past 6 months and is very good but does not travel as far as sunnyvale.

For Indian Food help, they charge atleast $15 per hour and you can find them in the classified ads on sulekha.com.
