    Hi,
My sis stays in virginia..she feels very lonely and homesick.. she is there for 6 months now.. but still she feels lonely.. she has even decided to return back to india.. well, not all of us get a chance to stay in us.. so our family is like telling her to rethink her decision.. but she is very homesick..
can any1 from that place suggest somthing that can engage her in some activity so that she is busy all time and can get some good friends via indus ladies........
ladies pls come up and be friends with my sissy and all of u together will be happy...

bigger the group of friends greater the fun!!!!

She needs to go out and join some Indian communities, groups, go for walks and make friends. She can find FB groups and pages for Indians in the area. She can go and volunteer in her town. Many feel bored when coming abroad, it gets better with time.

See..it takes time to get used to any place as it is different from home.usa is a wonderful place but it takes time to get used to it.she should take up driving classes, work or study,go to gym ,learn new hobbies, cooking skills and in future if she has kids trust me she will be occupied.it takes time to mentally adapt.no worries.

Which part of virginia does your sister live? There are lot of Indians in Northern virginia. I live in Reston. Herndon is only about 15 minutes drive.

There are lot of volunteer opportunities.
