Opinion abt carrefour collecting 1dh for trolleys!!!!!

Hi Friends....

I had been to Century Mall carrefour on june 27th... shocked and surprised tht u need to pay 1dhs to use their trolleys... has anyone come across is.... i dont how long its going on.... i just saw ystrdy.....

all the trolleys are connected with a chain... if i insert a 1dh coin... it gets released from the chain....

pour ur opinion on this.... already prices are going high in dubai.... this is also added to that....

this is the procedure in the GEANT mall in bahrain i think from it started. one way it is to secure the trolley. or people just off load the bags into their cars and leave the trolley wherever they want. Because of this system if you want your 1 dh back, you will definitely go and link it to the other trolley and remove your coin.

IT is followed now in all the carreffour not only dubai, but also in muscat.

This system of 1 Dh for trolley is there for long time in Geant in Ibn Battuta Mall - Dubai.

In Malaysia..also the case is same in Carrefour....they charge for the trolley... After completing shopping we can put back and take our money..

Only in Carrefour they are doing like this... In other Malls like Giant,Mydin, Jusco,TEsco,they dont charge.....

Carrefour has this system in Mall of Emirates also. And even Discount centre in Safeer Mall is using this system when we take trolleys from the car park in basement. But what happened is when we came back with the trolley, there was not other trolley to connect it to and we lost 1dh, even after returning it into proper place.
Hmm,, We need to wait and see for all the new developments

I've been seeing this systen since 6 months. But I 've seen this system only in careefours.. no where else in Abudhabi..not in EGMS, abudhabi malls, not in marina mall also.. I feel this is a good system. It helps while parking cars. Otherwise all the parking lots will be covered with trolleys.
