Question Pregnancy tips required

Dear Freinds,

I am four months pregnant ( for first time) and have recently shifted here,, i am quiet apprehensive about my daily routine, diet and everythng else as I would have really prefered if I had some elderly people to guide me at home ,but since we had to shift here ,,, i am quiet new to the place and this whole experience.
thus, it will be great if ladies here would like to share some tips on ideal daily routine
or how much exercise is imp ,, or should we go for a walk in this dubai weather .

It will be very usefull for me and I would love to have some friend guides for this process.

take care
pallavi

Congratulations Pallavi!!!! that's great news. how do you feel??? must be a great feeling!!

mmm... i have a child too, he;s 3 now!! when i got pregnant, i felt like the most blessed person on earth!!.. tips.... well.. what i say?

be happy always, listen to music, take no tensions what so ever, sleep well, if you are used to exercising you can exercise, but the first 3 months, care to be taken. i think you mentioned you are in the 4th month, so that shouldn't be a problem. but do check with your doc on exercising, i used to walk. brisk walking for 30 minutes, but i felt tired easily. Dont' stress urself into it, take things really easy.

Drink lots of water, it helps a lot during delivery. Milk is good to have everyday, grannies say that having milk with saffron is very good for the baby. it makes the baby very fair and a beauty, especially if it's a girl!! so have it daily. Boy or girl, at the end of the 9 months, all preggies want a healthy little angel..right???

have lots of fruits and veggies, try to stick to home made food.

dont' get a scan for the baby every month, it's not really good for the baby. only when the doc recommeds, here in auh, we have 3 months or so.

pallavi, it's a very nice time, enjoy yourself to the fullest. when you sleep, keep a pillow along your foot so that you have it a little raised always. some people tend to have swelling during pregnancy.

mm..what else??..can'te remember more, but you can always post your queries, i'm sure me or someone around would look into.

and have a look at this site, it's a beautiful one, there is a 3-D ultra sound on the fetel development, and there a so many tips on the net. you can surf them too...
http://parenting.ivillage.com/pregnancy

so..enjoy, have fun!!!

Hey Mini,

Thanks a lot for your full of energy reply .I am vegetarian so m taking fruits ,vegges and milk,, even i get tired quiet easily so i was wondering is tht okay because i was very regular with exercises earleir .. like i used to go for aerobis for couple of years etc.
regarding water-- here all day in AC i just dont feel thirsty.. but i try and drink when ever possible.
do you think its oky to take saffron in duabi,, because it is considered to be a hot family food,, just like rice is cold family food.. so do u think it will be advisable to use saffron in this weather conditon?

Hi Pallavi,

first of all Congratulations!!!!!! Its a wonderful phase so enjoy to max!!

I have heard about saffron so thought will warn you... pls dont take saffron in large quantity. A mild addition of saffron may be fine but as you said urself, saffron is hot, so its not advised to take it in excess during pregnancy.. i can't tell you how much quantity is ok but just be careful not to have an over dosage..

as mini said, just be happy, take enough rest, eat fresh and healthy and keep smiling

All the best!!

Hi Pallavi,

Congrats !!!!!!!!!!!! May you have a pleasant pregnancy and safe delivery.

You have got all the tips.Just like to add as you are well aware of the hot and cold food stuff.Have lots of buttermilk and curd if possible as it is very hot here. And also have coconut water or orange juice every alternate day.

So you are from Delhi.I am from Mumbai.

Be in touch.
Babita.
