I spoke to Shanthi this morning.. She was not able to confirm her attendance due to some unforseen circumstances but now she has verbally confirmed to me that she will be joining us on the 16th with her husband and daughter..

Here is the copy of the updates I had sent earlier.. resending it for easy reference :

1. Gate No. 3 has better access and better facilities.. Once you enter, there are big fountains on both sides and there is a colorful wooden horse and a exhibition hall on the right side. The other gates have bbq stands and it might get pretty crowded on a friday evening... So, can i request you all arrive at GATE NO 3 on 16th!! You can get your ticket and enter through gate no 3 and walk to your right side.. we will all meet near the Colorful Wooden Horse and the Exhibition Hall. Me/Preethi/Usha will be having a small plackard saying "Indus Ladies Family Meet"

2. Yesterday, me and Preethi left home at 6pm and the weather was still pretty warm. So, if we meet at 5pm, we are sure to get roasted.. So, shall we move our meeting by 30mins and gather together at 5:30pm?? I am not suggesting a later time because, if we meet at 5:30pm and start introducing ourselves, it will be close to 6:30pm when we actually start interacting.. that will be a good time to settle down in the grass and have a short snack and start the evening with whatever fun things we want to do.

3. You are welcome to bring outdoor game kits and board game kits. The end time of the meet totally depends on how much time we all can afford to spend..

I thank all of you for arranging a wonderful get to gether of IL families of UAE. Sorry that I did not play any role in planning the event. The last week was terrible for me................. my close friend Alka's DH passed away due to sudden massive HA.

We have exchanged so many wonderful memories and none of the friends could still come to terms that he is no more. His untimely passing away put all of us so down. Last night Alka left for India.

Since this IL meet is the first one and I don't want to miss meeting new set of friends, I send my confirmation. I appreciate all your efforts in making this grow to this extent to spend some good time together.

I attend with my DH and DD (20 years). (3 people)

I have guests from India and may be, I will be little late, but will meet you all near Gate 3 of Zabeel Park between 5:30 ~ 6:00 PM.

Please tell me should I bring something like any snacks........... or else.

Dear friends,
I am arranging to buy some snacks (Samosas & farsan for the adults and pizza/ chips/ juice for the kids). We will split the bill tomorrow when we meet in the park.

We wanted to avoid the hassle of each lady making an item and pool the same. Hope you all will agree with us here.
