By the way what kind of job you are looking for.. waht are your qualifications, experience etc.

hi laxmi...i am marina i stay at airport road, i read ur posts and i am alsolooking for a job can u help me or direct me how to get one...as i m totally new here ....basically i am a physiotherapist (bachelor of physiotherapy) then i was working as a physiotherapist cum admin asst. in a hospital in India for 1yr...also i have some exp in recruitment field....i tried to get a job here as a physiotherapist , but its difficult as they ask for min 2 yr exp...which sadly i don have...so i thought i will get into recruitment/admin field as i hv some previous exp in tht field too.....now lets see...wht will work for me...do pray plzz!!!!if ur company has any openings in admin or secretarial..plz let me knw!!

You have got good degree. I think u should n't prefer secreterial job. Choose your career as physiotherapist. And try jobs on it. try hard on it u definitely make job over here as there were so many hospitals in Abudhabi. You will definetely make with 2 to3 months.


Still if u dont make. ANd if u prefer secretary job..write to me... I'll find out for u...........

Thanks Laxmi for the motivating reply, i applied in lifeline hospital and also had an interview there today...and the officials over there has confirmed that my career as a physiotherapist has ended if i try for a job in UAE as with 1 yr exp i am not even eligible for the health authority license exam, and if i want to continue being in this line then the only option left is to go back to India work for a yr more and then with 2 yrs exp i can try again here, but that seems not feasible as my husband is not interested to send me back...so now i am left with no other option other than changing career...i m really in great depression.

Dont be depressed. Job is not everything in life.Sometimes we think that all the doors are closed.but its not like that.Definitely one door might have oopened for you. You have to find it out. Be optimistic in life. Inspite of being a highway engineer, I feel happy at home playing with my kid rather than in office. I'm telling you this u will understand it later. Infact every working woman must be thinking like that.

Anyway for the office admin post..you start applying ..u'll definitely get it. My office is located in jebel ali. SIte office..u better try in dubai/ABudhabi office. My office name is GHD. Browse the web site. u will get it. I can give the email address. It may have risk of spamming.
