Indian Ladies in Sharjah - meet here!

Hi Ladies,

This is Leela Sreeram, 31 years, a Tamil Iyer from Pune. I did my graduation and MBA from Pune Univ. I describe myself as a friendly, enthusiastic person. I have had my share of ups and downs in life and have now come to enjoy it and believe that happiness has to come from within!! MY life revolves around my family but I believe that a woman can have a happy family only if she herself is happy,confident and ready to take on life with a positive attitude. Apart from my husband and son, my 2 sisters and my father are the most important people in my life!

I look forward to meeting new like-minded people through this website. I was actually surprised how I did not come across something like this before. I have been living in Sharjah for the past 5 years and somehow haven't found too many friends who are in the same phase of life. "Phase of life" i mean .......married for a couple of years, new(not anymore) to the place and now have a kid.
Of course, for the past 4 years I have been a working woman so have been kind of busy, juggling home and career. Now i have taken a break from my career to spend all my time with my adorable son, Siddharth.

Through this website I hope to find friends.......who are almost in the same age-group as me!

I am a new member.
Good playschools..............there are many nurseries in Sharjah.
I guess by O-level you mean International nurseries.
You can check about the following nurseries-

Al-Khan Nursery
Victory International
Happy Kids (This is associated with Varkey group)

Do let me know if you have more information. My son is nearing 2 and I would be looking out for nurseries in early 2009. I have some more time :) But I guess I would go in for Happy Kids

Welcome to IL. I am very sorry for the delay in my reply. I have been busy with shopping and packing as my children are leaving for vacation next week.

Well, to introduce myself.. I am a married woman(3 years) with no kids, living in sharjah (Al tawun street) with my husband. I used to work before my marraige as a Project Manager in an e-learning company in NOIDA(near delhi) with a hectic life but now its too calm here.. I havent made too many friends or have joined kitty (though I am keen to!) as most have kids with their schedule. What more to say?? I regularly practice yoga at home with medidation and keep myself busy with reading, internet (catching up with friends and relatives in india), yoga, household chores, trying new recipes.

I hope to find to find some good friends out here. Be able to help anyways I can and maybe we can form a club too!!
