What a wonderful site!! I am shocked why dint I find it earlier!

Well, to introduce myself.. I am a married woman(3 years) with no kids, living in sharjah (Al tawun street) with my husband. I used to work before my marraige as a Project Manager in an e-learning company in NOIDA(near delhi) with a hectic life but now its too calm here.. I havent made too many friends or have joined kitty (though I am keen to!) as most have kids with their schedule. What more to say?? I regularly practice yoga at home with medidation and keep myself busy with reading, internet (catching up with friends and relatives in india), yoga, household chores, trying new recipes.

I hope to find to find some good friends out here. Be able to help anyways I can and maybe we can form a club too!!

I too was a project manager in a software firm in india ......and how is life in sharjah ? i find it very slow compared to busy life in mumbai and banglore ...of course if u have kids that takes up whole schedule ....but currently it is only 2 of us

I newly joined to IL I felt people in this forum are very friendy and helpful. I was happy to find this sight. I hope I will get more info about dubai.

I am working in Bangalore and from my company I am coming to dubai for long term onsight work. I am planning to come with my husband and children. I have two school going daughters.
I have many questions please help me.
1. Which is the good place to stay, is it sharjha or abudhabi? I don’t think I can stay in dubai I heard here accommodation expenses are high.
2. Which schools are good and moderate? Where? What are the school timings? I hope schools will provide transportation for kids
3. Since we both are working, after the school how and where can my daughters spend time till we come home? Is there any play homes? Or can I put them to tuitions? Or is it safe to stay them at home. They use to stay at home in Bangalore after the school
4. How can I get the admissions for school? Planning to admit them in September.
5. is there any donations for school. Can anybody give me details about approximate expenses for donation, fees, school van fees, tuition fees and play home. My daughters are in 5^th and 1^st class.

Please give me details ASAP since I need to confirm to my company.
