Default New Year eve in Dubai (2008)

Hey, Can any body tell me any good place to be at new year eve. Preferably with Indian/ Sub continental surroundings. Does anybody know as to which place the fireworks show takes place, if there is one ? I am new to Dubai and wish to be at one of the good places.

Hi Monisha - welcome to IL. Glad that you joined us. Hope you are able to enjoy the New Year - hopefully someone who has lived in Dubai for a long time will be able to answer your question about your query for New Year Eve's celebrations.

hi Monisha,

Pls chk today's gulf news. Most of the Star hotels, shopping malls would've listed their activities. Here, you can find fire works during shopping festival, eid holidays. Even Global village in aweer has been opened for public visit. You can enjoy new year's eve there also. In global village also every day around 8pm or so fire works are there.

Hi Monisha,
You can see fireworks at Burj Al Arab exactly at midnight. Sorry, I could not send this message earlier.
Hope you have a nice NY eve and a wonderful NY year ahead.

Regards
USHA
